Crash Course

Saltwater, my memoir-in-progress, is the story of the most amazing thing I’ll never do again: Sail the world on a 180-foot tall ship with 42 strangers and an egomaniacal sea captain.

Over a span of eleven months, we crossed three oceans and visited four continents between Fiji and Nova Scotia. Living among roaches and bedbugs, learning the language of gypsy heads and t’gallant halyards, I experienced the world from a rare, sometimes terrifying, point of view.

Ultimately, what began as a romanticized quest for beauty became a cathartic, revelatory, lust-filled journey toward living a life less ordinary.
